Formed in 1995, Occupational Fitness has 12 years of on-site employee health screening experience.  In addition to our quality employee screening services, we now offer several occupational safety and health training courses.

Courses customized to your needs and held on-site for your convenience.  Price is based on the number of employees attending and site location.  All our training and written programs are compliant with your Federal/State OSHA requirements. 

Safety & Health Training

• Bloodborne Pathogens – Course covers risk and types of infectious diseases, proper safe guards and proper methods of handling contaminants. 
• First Aid/CPR/AED - On site at your convenience by certified instructor.
• Hazardous Communications - One of the most citied violations! Instruction on all of OSHA’s covered topics as well as customized written communication plans.
• Lockout/Tagout - Customized to employees’ job function.  We offer written programs, training, audits and equipment specific procedures.
• OSHA Recordkeeping - From consulting to maintaining OSHA 300 log, we offer impartial insight into accident investigations with direction to prevent reoccurrence.
• Respiratory Protection - Covers the requirements for the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of a respiratory program.
• Personal Protective Equipment - Our PPE class covers from foot to face, respiratory to electrical.  PPE is essential for your employees’ protection.
• Portable Fire Extinguishers - With an on-site survey of your facility for proper placement and types, our training gives your employees hands on experience with use of extinguishers on an incipient stage fire.

On-Site Courses offered include:

Hearing Conservation Course

Certification Course – This course includes 20 hours of lecture, demonstration, and hands on practice of audiometric testing, hearing protection fitting and otoscopic examination. This Course is CAOHC approved and would aid students to conduct audiograms and develop hearing conservation programs according to OSHA 20 CFR 1910.95. Students who complete the course will be certified as an Occupational Health Conservationist. Course includes CAOHC application fee and CEU’s.

Re-certification Course – The re-certification course includes an 8 hour review of current topics for previously certified OHC’s. Also, the course includes hands on practice of audiometric testing, hearing protection fitting and otoscopic examination.

Spirometry Course

This course complies with all NIOSH guidelines for a pulmonary function technician-training course. The course will aid plant personnel and health care professionals who are responsible for administering Respiratory Surveillance Programs. Course includes lecture, demonstration and hands on practice for ensuring proper techniques for administering a pulmonary function test.
